Family Estate Renovation

Builder: Matt OlsonThis complete refurbishment took an existing, modern neo-classical style house and renovated it into a Louisiana Low Country house. Shapiro & Company completely renovated the front, sides, and rear of the house in order to achieve the needs of the family. Typical to its period, the kitchen in the original house was a single room. Shapiro & Company renovated the kitchen to include an open family room and breakfast room in order to accommodate the family's lifestyle. The foyer, living room, and dining room were remodeled along with a master bedroom suite, four-car garage, and a large screened in porch to allow for views of the site's multiple acres. The original structure had few windows, which made the rooms seem dark and uninviting. French doors were added to create light filled rooms overlooking the expansive property, allowing for a connection between the interior and the exterior.
