Senior Interior Designer
Shapiro & Company Architects is seeking an exceptional Senior Interior Designer to lead and elevate our multi-family interior design practice. We are looking for a design leader who drives vision.

The ideal candidate has a demonstrated history of delivering market-defining multi-family interiors — projects that outperform competitors, inspire residents, and strengthen client portfolios. You understand that interior design is both creative expression and strategic positioning, fully integrated with architecture.
You are:

A proven leader with 8+ years of progressive experience

Highly collaborative with architectural teams

Deeply client-centric, building trust at every phase

Technically rigorous and detail-driven

Confident presenting to ownership groups and development partners

Fluent in both design language and business impact

You will:

Lead interior architectural vision from concept through FFE installation

Integrate seamlessly with architectural leadership to create unified project narratives

Shape finish palettes and material strategies that elevate market positioning

Oversee documentation, custom millwork detailing, and technical execution

Oversee FF&E procurement and installation
-
Mentor designers and raise the studio’s design standards

Act as a strategic partner to clients, not just a consultant
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design (accredited)

NCIDQ Certification
-
Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite
-
Strong understanding of multi-family market trends and regulatory requirements
-
Exceptional communication and presentation skills

Summer Internship
What to expect:
