Edgewater Oakmont

Client Goal Met:
Selected as both project architect and Town Architect for Edgewater, a 34-acre mixed-use community in Oakmont, Pennsylvania, approximately 14 miles northeast of Pittsburgh. The 240-unit neighborhood includes a mix of single-family and multifamily homes alongside retail uses. Shapiro & Company developed the complete residential product line, including cottage homes ranging from 2,150 to 2,350 square feet, Village Homes from 2,600 to 3,300 square feet, 2,000-square-foot Manor Flats, and Cottage Duplexes averaging 2,350 square feet, each offered with multiple exterior elevations to create architectural variety and cohesion.

Why It Matters:
Demonstrates the ability to lead comprehensive residential design within mixed-use master-planned communities—establishing cohesive architectural standards, diverse housing options, and scalable product lines that support long-term neighborhood identity and market success.
