Watermark on the Canal

Client Goal Met:
Partnered with a local developer and the City of Indianapolis to create the master plan and residential designs for a downtown infill community consisting of 28 single-family homes and 10 attached townhomes. The three-story townhomes front the canal, activating the waterfront edge, while single-family homes are organized around a central pocket park. Homes feature private side-yard courtyards inspired by historic Charleston precedents, and rear alleys were incorporated to manage vehicular access while prioritizing walkability and pedestrian connectivity.

Demonstrates the ability to deliver thoughtful urban infill solutions that prioritize walkability, placemaking, and contextual design—transforming underutilized sites into cohesive, pedestrian-oriented neighborhoods that strengthen the urban fabric and enhance long-term community value.
