NAHB Multifamily Pillars of the Industry National Winner 2016

Shapiro & Company Architects served as architect for Hickory Lake Apartments in Antioch, Tennessee, national winner of the 2016 NAHB Multifamily Pillars of the Industry award for Best Acquisition/Rehabilitation of an Affordable Apartment Community, Over 100 Units. The HUD-sponsored project involved a substantial rehabilitation of the entire 26.3-acre, 322-unit apartment community, including site features, apartment buildings, dwelling units, the leasing building, and maintenance buildings. Building exteriors and balconies were fully renovated and redesigned with new veneer materials and updated façades for a more classic, timeless appeal, delivering a like-new community for residents.
