NAHB Multifamily Pillars of the Industry National Finalist 2017

Shapiro & Company Architects served as architect for Crescent Bluff II, a 2017 National Finalist for the NAHB Multifamily Pillars of the Industry award, Best Affordable Apartment Community, Over 100 Units. The 172-unit affordable housing community sits on 4 acres in downtown Memphis' South Main Historic District, featuring studio, one-, and two-bedroom units ranging from 1,150 to 1,350 square feet, along with a leasing and clubhouse facility. The project leveraged multiple local and federal incentives, including a Payment-in-Lieu-of-Taxes (PILOT) agreement through the Health, Education, and Housing Facility Board of the City of Memphis and Low-Income Housing Tax Credits from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency.
