2025 Gold Nugget: Best Affordable Housing Community

Shapiro & Company is proud to have served as architect for Tillman Cove, winner of a 2025 Gold Nugget Grand Award for Best Affordable Housing Community, Under 30 Dwelling Units per Acre. Recognized as one of the oldest and most prestigious design and development competitions in the country, the Gold Nugget Awards drew 675 entries across more than 60 categories in 2025, with Tillman Cove selected from a Merit-level field to receive the Grand Award — the program's top honor in its category. The project team included Elmington Capital as developer and Elmington Construction as builder, alongside Shapiro & Company Architects.
